It’s Silly Saturday…

… and what is more silly than another selfie!

How do people immediately know that I’m old apart from my wrinkly face and jowls? Well unless I’m imminently expecting to take a pic I put my phone in my bag. Unheard of for today’s generation but I remember the days before dial telephones; and that’s home phones firmly attached to the wall because walking around with your landline phone wasn’t even dreamt of then.
And I remember the first mobile phones in the 1980s. Few people had them but those who did wanted to show them off so walked into the pub with a swagger and plonked their mobile phone, which was the size of a brick, on the bar in front of them in the hope that everyone would notice and be suitably impressed!
So unless I learn to have my mobile phone permanently attached to my hand people will think I’m silly. Perfect for silly Saturday!
