Cowslips

Firstly, thank you all so much for your kind messages and gifts for my Mother's good recovery, and on my  Blip anniversary, yesterday. It does make a difference, knowing that others  who have been through similar family crises, are thinking of us.
(Late blipping)
This morning, my sister, C, visited our Mother and found her very chatty. She had finished the I/V antibiotics and was no longer needing oxygen therapy, which is a good sign. C managed to talk with the doctor doing the ward round. After a late lunch, we dropped off my sister at the train station to start her long rail journey back to Cornwall, and then I visited  our Mum. She was dozing in her chair, but awoke when she saw me, and we had a couple of companionable hours together, before she settled down for the night.
My blip is a view of my garden "lawn". It's really reverting to chalk downland, with primroses and cowslips (seen here) stealing a march across the area, along with Pulmonaria (also included here). It's providing valuable nectar and pollen for the insects. Today, there were Brimstones about, and yesterday I saw the first Orange Tip butterfly.
It was very warm today up to 22C, which meant the tortoise was very lively, too. Just hope his old lady minder is also soon back on her feet and able to visit him again.
