Of Course It’s a Chicken!
There is a quiet shady street in Sebastopol, lined with elegantly painted craftsman houses and colorful gardens. It would be a treat to walk there any day and admire the architecture and the flowers. And if you add these exotic creatures made from all manner of salvaged metal and miscellaneous dump finds, well, you’ve got a wonderful afternoon. The artist, Patrick Amiot, lives on the block, and as far as I can find out, offered all his neighbors the opportunity to host one of his pieces in their front yards. The result is this art stroll past dozens of clever installations that are an integral part of a sweet neighborhood not far from downtown.
Sadly, we are here to attend a memorial service tomorrow for a good friend. In the meantime, we have a new place to explore for a little while.
