The Lenches
We cycled round the Lenches today to see the blossom and enjoy the spring sunshine. About thirty miles , give or take, but on electric bikes so not as impressive as it might have been!
Lench means hill or rising ground.
The five Lenches in Worcestershire are pretty villages in the heart of the Vale of Evesham fruit growing area.
There are many acres of apple orchards and the spring blossom is lovely. This was an orchard near Ab Lench.
There were skylarks, blossom, lilac, bluebells, daffodils, new leaves, birdsong, sunshine , a fresh breeze, ooh my goodness it was lovely.
We called in at Hillers for coffee and a bacon sandwich and sat outside in the sun.
Ab Lench, Atch Lench, Church Lench, Sherrifs Lench and Rous Lench
