The Trees Are a-Blooming
Hubby had an early appointment for his annual check up. His doc was very pleased with his blood test results. Plus, he has lost a few pounds. I finally got to enjoy a morning on my front porch. And I read several blip journals, just not all before I had to get busy. So many birds were singing; I couldn’t identify all of them. My bulbs are flowering in all the gardens. And you can see that the dogwoods and weeping cherry are at their peak. What a wonderful time of year. When hubby got home, I started the laborious task of sorting what would go back in my van, what would get trashed and what to put away. It’s 3:00 pm and I just finished. Hubby had some spare pencil boxes. I sorted everything and labeled the cases: meds, wipes, etc. bigger items (blankets, fire extinguisher, sunshade, etc) went in a 3-sectional tub. Now I just have to keep it neat. It was so hard finding what we needed that we’d accumulated 3 pressure gauges, several hand sanitizers, 4 umbrellas, 3 flashlights, etc. Kim said she had the same situation when she traded her van. Twelve years is a long time. Hubby’s task was to program our garage door opener with the van. He is almost there but right now, I have to use a remote. I was impressed he knew where they were, we’ve lived here over 20 years. At one point, when he activated it, both doors opened/closed. But he thinks there may be a way to program the buttons on the van. Just hasn’t found the right combo. Kim gave up and simply uses the remote. It’s rare to have no compatibility issues with new electronics. I am just happy to have hands free phones in the car again. My last van wouldn’t sync with my newest phone. We are going to our local CareNet banquet tonight to kick off our weekend. Hoping to get a short nap in first. Wishing you a wonderful weekend. Stay safe.
