The laundry at Ñao
As always, this wash-place uses a natural water source. The flows as far as I could see can´t be closed, and the unused water just flows over the edge and on downhill.
Before the houses had municipal water this will have been a resource for the whole village, and the women (I´m guessing) will have surrounded the tank to do their family laundry. And possibly to chatter.
The laundry is below the village, and a walk down to it and then back uphill with a load of wet washing will have been hard work.
Another view of it in extra.
