Respect

This couple rent or possibly own this field which is part of the 'Managed Renaturalisation' area along the River West Günz that flows through Ottobeuren and eventually joins the Danube further north.

They take 'extreme' measures to keep the field tidy throughout the year and have to put up with us dog walkers, cyclists, bathers using the footpaths that cross the field. I have blipped them before carefully raking by hand the mown hay in summer away from the banks of the river so that the tractor pulled machinery can bale it.

Here they are raking up rubbish left by us humans over the winter and sticks, branches that have been washed up during floods.
