Thomas Jefferson Memorial and the Phantom Plane

I went to the Jefferson Memorial this morning in hopes of getting a decent sunrise picture. Once again (same as last Saturday), Mother Nature decided not to put a show on for me.

While I was waiting for the sun to rise, I took a couple of long exposure photos including this one (13 seconds) which shows the lights on the wings of a plane taking off from Washington Reagan National Airport.
