Lazy Mountain

180 deg panoramic view toward the West looking down on the Matanuska River.

Palmer and Wasilla are straight ahead.

Cook inlet and Anchorage are in the far distance, one third of the way across the camera's view from your left .

It was a rather strenuous hike (3000 ft elevation change in 2.5 miles) coupled with rain and wind (I think we were hit by a few 40+ knot gusts on the way down).

The Lazy Moose trail is most recommended for the downward leg...
