Through the Gap….

Lakeside at the Taylor Dam early this afternoon. Hundreds of noisy black back gulls on the water interspersed with black swans. The leaves on the trees are starting to change colour.
We needed rain here in Blenheim and Marlborough. During the current “Atmospheric River” I got 10mm in my rain gauge- over two days. In the meantime, over the hills in Marahau, near Motueka, Hannah and Alex recorded 114mm over two days. And down the West Coast near Greymouth 130mm was recorded on Ellen’s and Duncan’s property.
