What I've Done

Snow details

Today I had the 200Km drive back to Tromso. An interesting drive, as the temperature had climbed to 4 deg, and some of the hardpacked snow on the roads (which is good to drive on with studded tyres), had started to go slushy in places, meaning there were hard snow areas, slushy areas, and areas where there were deep grooves that snagged your wheels.  It was an "interesting" drive, and we did see cars slid off the road into the ditches.

Did however find time to park up for a walk somewhere in the middle of Senja, where the landscape is more rolling. This spot (where all three photos were taken from) was an area where tracks had been made - possibly for skidoos, as there were a dozen parked. There were a dozen houses dotted around, and a frozen lake. Definitely an area we want to revisit in the Summer, too, but possibly our second most favourite area we'd visited.

Back at Tromso, it was pouring, but our hotel upgraded us to a deluxe room. - Good news!
