Postbox in a box

Exercise class first; a cool wind, and grey overcast.  Sun came out in the late morning. Friends from Aberdeenshire were  in Edinburgh and came in to visit for a while; 

Walked once they had gone to Mellis for cheese and around by the Water of Leith. Back in by Dundas Street; there's a new bakery, Project Canale, where Cuckoo's bakery was near Margiota. This postbox, a Victorian survivor, has been boxed around by the fence between Dundas Street and the empty building site that was most recently the Royal Bank of Scotland. 

Had more visitors in the evening, for whisky tasting and cheese. An unusually social day.
