The calm before...

...the HAIL! In JULY! The weather in Edinburgh is nothing if not interesting.

I drove up to my in-laws' after work this evening and when I pulled up it was like this - pitch dark on the ground but with this crazy bright white sky in the distance. I took a couple of pics but don't think I've quite captured it - it reminded me of this Magritte painting. Ten minutes later it was bucketing with rain and then pelting with hail. Lovely.

I did a Pampered Chef show for my lovely mother-in-law and it was really good fun. Her and my fabulous sister-in-law had prepared all sorts of wonderful hor'd'oeuvres and I had a great time. Sold a fair bit of stuff too! I then collected Mr Dazed and his Dad from the pub, delivered my father-in-law back home and then brought Mr D and I back home to our sofa and a glass of wine for me :)
