Peace And Serenity

Today I decided to go for a trip to the Chinese Gardens in Sydney.

The weather today was absolutely gorgeous, very sunny but not to hot. I went for a little walk around the harbour before wandering into the gardens. I had not been there before and was not to sure what to expect.

After I paid for my ticket ($6 and you can come and go as you please for the day) and went inside the mood completely changed. With the sound of waterfalls, birds, wind in the trees, people slowly walking around looking at the different plants and statues it is hard not to relax.

With the sun on my face and arms I stopped and watched a waterfall, following the water to the small pond below.

Walking along the stepping stones passing different kinds of plants, breathing in a different kind of air and letting the serenity wash over me.

It's funny to think just outside those gates, cars were buzzing by, there are skyscrapers and your usual city life. To get away from it all only for a moment was great.

This is called the Rock Arches. It was kind of hidden away from the rest of the other waterfalls but I loved it. The way the rocks were placed and how the water which you can kind of see hits the pool below, to me it's stunning.

I had entered a heaven on earth. I hope you enjoy the look of this as much as I did, and if you come to Sydney stop by and visit the gardens there are even some carp swimming in the little ponds :-)

Hope you're all having a fab weekend!

Be kind to one another :-)
