We popped over to Alfred's Tower this afternoon, a folly on the Stourhead Estate. The Tower will reopen on Saturday, coinciding with the start of the school holidays, so we went while it's still relatively easy to find a parking space.
It's years since we climbed the 205-step spiral staircase but that's on our list for this year.
