Alpine Accentor
This bird was reorted yesterday afternoon but knowing the access, I didn't try then. Today however I girded my loins and descended the steep set of steps down to Gwynver Beach and then followed the coast path to the bird.
A small group of admirers made it very easy to find and it showed quite well, although was always on the move.
I've seen plenty in the mountains - they are the garden birds of mountain huts - but this was my first British example.
So enamoured was I of my success, I went to marazion for one more try at the Hoopoe and sure enough had stunning views of that too. Sometimes birding works!
