Peepshow

I’ve just finished reading Kate Summerscale’s The Peepshow: The Murders at 10 Rillington Place, about the Christie murders in Notting Hill. I’d worked near there in 1981, but couldn’t remember where exactly* so started looking through a stack of recently-returned letters. I was surprised at how much social history I’d documented - the summer of riots, hunger strikers, CND marches, pubs, bands, women’s dances, share house life.

*Update: Westminster Play Association playground in a housing estate in Third Ave, Queens Park.

Not the most interesting abstract, but representative of the day.

Thanks for hosting Ingeborg.
