The ABC of Friendship

A is for ABSENCE from work, because my friend and I excused ourselves today for a two hour lunch break. We went into town (ten minutes on the bus, so easy!) for some leisurely and delicious lunch.

B is for BECKS, the friend I escaped with. She is my psychic twin - we met at work, and slowly bonded until one day, when we thought "Oh, let's have a quick cup of tea and piece of cake and a chat." Two hours later, we realised the time and thought, "Oops, better get back to work!" After that, there was no going back, really.

C is for CURRY, specifically Wagamama's katsu curry, which is what we escaped to eat. In the picture above, she's polishing off the last mouthfuls of deliciousness. My plate was already licked clean, so I blipped whilst she finished at a more ladylike pace.

D is for DON'T MAKE US GO BACK TO WORK! Which is how we felt after such a delicious feast. But we are dutiful employees and so...we did. But productivity was down by about 65% on Friday afternoon!!!
