Sunset over the Maniototo
We’ve had another magnificent day in the Maniototo! Perhaps we should change our name though, from Mudlarks to FogLarks, as we’ve been chasing morning fog yesterday and today. It’s been amazingly eerie and dramatic too, especially this morning’s fog over St. Bathan’s Blue Lake. GingerNan tells me she’s blipping St. Bathan’s, so I’ve gone for the dramatic sunset we had this evening, just as we were turning into the Wedderburn Cottages, for a well deserved mulled wine, dinner and sleep!
This morning we drove up onto the Ranges where the Poolburn Dam is – more mudlarking and 4WDing. The clouds up there were just incredible, with lenticular clouds all over the sky – I’m wondering what weather we’re in for tomorrow, with a sky like that. Talking about tomorrow, we’re going over to Arrow Junction, to see my daughter and her family – so exciting, they’re actually shifting their kitchen inside today, into their new hay bale extension!! At last :)
This sunset need to be Large, if you can
