Marking Time

Looks innocent, smells suspicious

Every morning there is something  new in the garden suddenly come into bloom.
Well today it’s the turn of the skunk cabbage.

Yes, I know this ornamental plant with an unfortunate name and smell is on the list of invasive plants.
But all I can say we have had ours for  around ten years, bought from a garden in the Trossachs during Open Gardens and it as barely moved. We get less than half a dozen  bright yellow blooms year.
Maybe the reason for the lack of it spreading  is that its planted in a dry spot and it likes marshy ground preferably close to water.
