What a fabulous day, wall-to-wall sunshine,
We headed a bit north to climb the Corbett Cul Beag. It is very, very steep for about 2/3 of the way and with a narrow, rough path, I found hands very useful for quite a lot of sections. The advantage of the way we chose was the stupendous views in every direction - mountain masses, isolated mountains, lochs, sea, islands, moors, and even Skye and Lewis.
The way down was less steep, just "very" rather than "very, very" and mostly pathless until the final bit along the road.
It wasn't a long walk in distance but not short in time. Saw no-one all day but did see a lizard and some other wildlife.
There's an extra of the other side of yesterday's hill, and another of a wee island in the loch just near where we parked the car.
Before we came away we were given a gift to treat ourselves so went out for a lovely meal this evening, a great end to one of those special days.
P.S. And as if that wasn't enough the view from the cottage was beautiful as the sun set, 3rd extra
