I'll be doggone!

I hirpled into town today in the warm sunshine. Hipling is what you do when one hip works better than the other one. It used to take me 25 minutes. Now it takes 40 minutes. I had stuff to do but my reward for doing stuff was to buy a music magazine, decamp to the Black Isle Bar and chill out with a couple of glasses of Yellowhammer.
A young woman with a lovely dog appeared at a nearby table. Could I resist? Her dog was a pure bred ginger haired rough-haired labradoole. I said to her, ‘That’s the kind of dog which makes you smile.’ She agreed as I tickled the dog’s ears. It struck me that this conversation could not have happened without the dog.  I’m a dog person and I’d like to have a dog, but it’s a big responsibility.  Still it made me think.
I just paid a visit to the local shop. There is a spacious car park but despite this cars were up on the pavement and stranded on the grass as if they had been dropped from a helicopter. They were picking up their offspring from the local primary school in the blinding sun. Ever thought of walking for a change?
