Bluebell Arboretum
This wonderful place just has to be visited in Spring and Autumn. Today I was lured by the prospect of magnificent Camellias, Magnolias of several varieties, prunus and cherry blossom. On such a glorious Spring morning, it was perfect.
No bluebells - ever - it’s the name not the speciality and it’s far too early up here.
I was the only visitor. Imagine a restful stroll around this magnificently tended 9 acres. Peace. Nature. And an abundance of trees.
It’s located in Smisby, not very far from Calke Abbey. An RHS Partner garden, but not expensive to visit.
