First to Flower…..

Here we are in autumn in New Zealand and this pretty camellia is the first to flower. It is an early variety and I love it. It has been cloudy all day with a bit of drizzle early afternoon. I worked in the garden dealing with weeds and leaves. Friend Lynette visited after lunch. It was mild enough to sit outdoors for coffee and ginger nuts. Lynette helped me load up my vehicle with three half-full wool sacks of leaves. I took them to the Green Waste depot. There will be many more such trips as autumnal leaf fall sets in.
Very bad weather is predicted over the next two days. An “Atmospheric River”. That is the name for the forthcoming storm. Take care out there, particularly those folk living in the top of the South Island.
