Canal Walk
We decided to get the bus into Skipton and walk up the canal to check on Fiddlesticks. I stopped off at Morrison’s and Frank carried on with Bella then I followed on. I saw these two geese on the way and they were quite happy to let me get quote close to take photos.
It was beautiful sunshine but I had stupidly worn a stripey top and my denim jacket. It was bloomin’ freezing and much worse in any shady bits.
After Frank had turned engine over and put a few spiders out on the towpath we walked back into Skipton and I went to a few shops while Frank went to The Boat House for a pint. When I crossed the High St I tripped on a high kerb where the cars park along the road. My hand was bleeding and I hurt my knees, a very kind man helped me up. I was fine but my hand didn’t stop bleeding for a while. And why do you think I tripped?
Because of them blinkin’ Bifocals (pardon the pun). I usually take them off when I cross a road or go up or down stairs. Silly me. My left hand and my knees are bruised and I feel a bit ‘muscle pulled’ but otherwise I’m fine.
Anyway after that I went to meet Frank at Phoebe’s for Lunch, delicious!
Then we caught the bus home.
I was still really cold when we got home and went straight upstairs to get changed and put my thermals on under my woolly jumper.
On the way to bed Frank was looking out at the sky and we saw what we assumed was two stars really close together but they were moving like in a square shape up, down, across and back up and across. It didn’t look like the space station which moves slowly across the sky. It was just constantly moving.
I’ve just been outside and it’s still there and still moving in a square.
It’s 85° East from where we are.
Intruiging!
I wonder if little green men will descending in Hellifield!
Goodnight Blippers and thank you for the lovely comments, stars and hearts for yesterday’s Blip.
