Whooper Swan Story

I noticed that one of eight whooper swans on the Peedie Sea had a Darvic ring on one leg. I didn't think I'd get a shot, but managed to do so. They aren't on land much, and often will be disturbed at this spot by walkers and swim off. I sent the image in extra to a friend and he found out the history..the bird was ringed as a cygnet on 15.08.2023 at Miklavatn, Skagafjordur, northern Iceland. This is the first time it has been reported.
