A ‘Taps Aff ‘Day

This was the sky to the east at 7am as I made my way down north Bridge to the bus stop this morning. Had I been 6” taller I might  have been able to see the actual sun, but we have to work with what we have and I couldn’t see over the actual Bridge.

It was another glorious seaside day and Groyne 5 was alive with dipping Sunflowers and BlueTits. The sun felt very warm on our backs when we emerged from the waves. Actually there were no waves so a little swimming was enabled.

It is definitely a day for sitting in the sun and it is lovely to be able to do that without being surrounded by scaffolding. Any dusting and sweeping will have to wait. The Meadows are packed with supine bodies, the sky is a uniformly deep blue and last but not least, the ice cream van is parked beside the children’s playground. It’s definitely a ‘Taps Aff’ day.
I hope we get another day or two like this and it’s not some sort of weird April Fool’s trick.
