No April Fool's Joke

Yes, those are buds I see finally revealed!  Despite being crushed by snow falling from the roof, buried for weeks in a frozen heap, these brave buds have survived.  The rest of the rhododendron is not as fortunate. John will have to do some serious pruning. Lots of melting yesterday and just rainy days later in the week.  I could have called this post "resilience" something we all need right now but will we, as a country, survive to bloom again?
