Seafield

Once again I visited Seafield, (Kirkcady), which is just a short walk from the supermarket. 

These are the remains of an old harbour that was never completed and has fallen into ruin.

Firstly, the breakwater was damaged by a storm before completion.  Then funds ran out and backers withdrew because a promised rail link never materialised.  The project was then finally abandoned in 1891.
