Cesar Chavez Day

No College class today... but it was weird that the mail came and the trash collector....and some schools had class as well. 
While I was driving in the car I listened to his life story on NPR National Public Radio, it's a wonderful radio station.
This is a photo of my 2 lemons on my lemon tree. Chavez started the movement for the agriculture workers for better conditions.
It reminded me, when years ago we had a dinner for the tomato pickers in Florida, who protested here in front of Del Taco, they came by bus and foot  and it took them 11 days. The reason was better conditions and a penny more per pound. After they arrived a group had organized a wonderful dinner for them with mole chicken, we prepared the night before. 
I was in charge of the coleslaw. I also helped out and cut 'tons of onions'.
