Mono Monday: Week 584 ...
... Weird and wonderful ... and wet and wild.
Whilst Richard was out shopping at Home Depot I spent some time in my happy place ... the greenhouse. It was quite warm again today ... 89° F when I first went in there. I opened the windows and left the door open so as to get some of the heat out ... bringing the temp down moderately.
There were lots of birds ... and squirrels ... around this morning and I was able to get tons of decent photos. But I liked this weird, wonderfully, wet wild blue jay the best. It had rained like the dickens earlier and this blue jay was caked with mud. I've seen it before ...
Thanks to GillyH for hosting ... along side Lesley Alsford ... all this month.
I've added into Extras another of my favorite shots from today ... a lovely white-throated sparrow. I love these sweet little wintertime birds ... but with the advent of Spring they will soon be leaving us for their Summer breeding areas. I will miss them ... but also the dark-eyed juncos.
