The Old Music Shop…

… I had to return to my old home town today.

This is the facade of the old music shop (now decrepit, shuttered and closed). Taylor’s was a haven for music lovers. Not outwardly vibrant and buzzing but intense, quiet and reverent. It’s very fragrance was piano, it’s floors required soft shoes, no clicking heels. And soft voices. (Not that I ever purchased anything bigger than a recorder from there).
I really wish that it, and the rest of the street, were still there in all their 1960s finery.

In many ways today I wished to turn back the clocks. (And not just because my car clock will now be wrong for the next six months).
