Fantastic Mother's Day pressie - three Aylesbury ducks. Mike and Tobes worked so hard on making the new run yesterday and this morning and they were here when I got home.
Me and Eva had a fabulous day with the Morris family hacking round Launde Abbey for Tab's bday adventure. There were miles and miles of bridleways and long grassy canters. The boys were brilliant. It was such a great day out. From there we headed straight to Aylesford for PC musical ride training for Eva on Bud. I thought he'd be on his knees after the hack but he was well up for it! She's missed so many practices we needed to go to this one. Got back to the yard about 5 and had to do all the jobs and try and get poo samples for the worm count. Bud and Jack were easy as they went in the lorry. I got Indy and Lime in from the field and typically nothing happened. So in the end I got tired of waiting and loaded a furious Lime into the lorry and hid round the corner. Sure enough he provided the sample in the freshly swept out lorry. Then proceeded to do a wee in there so I had to wash the whole thing out (actually I made Eva do it!) what a palaver! Luckily Indy had poo'd in the stable when I took Lime away. Not easy getting 4 samples this time.
We were home just in time to put the new ducks to bed. I think they are going to be called Delia, Doris and Dotty.
After a busy day I had to sit down and do my invoices.. My bank account is leaking!
