(087) Reunion

In the dim and distant past I worked at the Alcan chemical plant in Burntisland, Fife. The 30 Year club was established many years ago for employees who had accrued 30 years of service, which wasn't uncommon back in those days. However, when the plant closed down in 2002 the annual 30 Year Club dinner was eventually opened up to any former employee. The dinners now are a very informal affair, compared to the original proceedings which apparently included a top table, speeches and toasts etc. It was good to catch up with former colleagues and reminisce,  and good to see a few 'new old' faces at the event. Today's blip is a photo of a photo that I hadn't seen before, which shows one of the shift teams that worked in the decomposer house.
