I can see clearly now...

A trip to the opticians this morning with my wounded spectacles. The first sales assistant took one look at the arm that had come off and made that sucking in of breath noise that you usually associate with cowboy plumbers. "No, sorry they're broken, nothing we can do about that" she told me helpfully. Fortunately the manager, who has been super helpful in the past, came by at that point. He took one look at my two part specs and said "Oh, Silhouette frames, they're almost impossible to break" and with a quick twist and click the detached limb was back in place as if it has never been away. I'm not planning on testing the indestructible nature of the frames in the future, I'm just mighty relieved to not have to fork out for a new pair
