A walk to the beach

We seem to be in a sunny period at the moment.  We went out for a walk to the beach first thing enjoying the warmth of the sun although the wind was cool.  The beach was looking lovely as the sea was very blue rather than the reddish colour when the winds are from the south west, ie the red sandstone bedrock is churned up by the waves.

It was high tide and we didn't seem much in the way of bird life but its nice to see the estuary full of water.

Back home I managed a little time on the allotment digging up grass, an ongoing task unfortunately.  Will have to think about what to plant soon.
