Daffodils
Today was beautifully sunny with blue skies and no wind, so it felt quite warm. The daffodils planted near the woods where I walk Xena were looking lovely in the sunshine today.
I confess I am feeling rather bored with my photos. When I started Blipfoto I felt that I was learning and developing as a photographer, especially as Blip made me aware of so many things around me and taking a photo every day inspired me to keep seeing things. Nowadays I feel that Blip stifles my creativity as I have to take a photo every day and am usually taking something that I would not usually feel compelled to photograph. Yet I like the journal record of Blip so I will continue with it, but most days I don't like my own photos!
Adam arrives in the UK on Thursday night from San Diego as it is his PhD graduation on Saturday - and also Anna's masters graduation. He is here for such a short time and he has to go back to his old lab to do some more experiments for one of his papers he is submitting, so it will be a very busy time for him. We are obviously looking forward to seeing him again.
We will see him again at the end of May as we are going to San Diego. Gavin has booked a round of golf at the South Course of Torrey Pines golf course. It is the course where Tiger Woods won the US Open in 2008. Despite being a municipal golf course and open to the public, it is extremely difficult to get a booking and eye wateringly expensive. Adam as a resident will pay a much reduced rate. I hope my wrist holds out for that, it was okay yesterday, painful for certain shots and okay for others. I am seeing the wrist surgeon on Wednesday so we will see what happens.
Tonight we have our annual mono print competition, I don't do much mono work these days so I am not holding out much hope of having any wins! I am looking forward to meeting the judge as he is well known around here and an excellent photographer - makes a change as not all judges are good photographers.
