Coinciding

We were heading down the M1 this morning and watching the cloud starting to break into blue. It was approaching 11am and I had my eye on the maximum partial eclipse. Armed with only my compact camera, through the car window, I'd tried the ND filter, the tiniest aperture and the fastest shutter speed - still big white sun. I realised it wasn't going to be seen nor recorded.

We needed the services. It was 11:06 as we pulled up to park.

There was a man outside his car who approached us and asked if we'd like to borrow his eclipse glasses to see the sun. He was the only one in the car park doing so and we'd happened to pull up next to him.

Yes please!

And then I remembered my camera was round my neck. 11:12 Quick blip, nice little record, lovely family!

On to NP for a lovely afternoon and evening with Rich's family.
