Eye Pied
I spied a pair of pied-billed grebes at the edge of the lake today. These elusive birds make it tough to get a decent photo, in no small part because they dive constantly and for a considerable time, only to reappear some distance away. Getting the pair in the frame at the same time was an achievement.
The temperature dropped like a stone after starting the day at 60°F.
Extra: Dirty Dozen. Twelve blue-winged teal sitting on a log.
