Surprise!

I was having a rubbish day. Until I heard wee noises when I checked on my broody girl, Hilda.

Gently, I lifted her wing and I was greeted with an adorable little face.

Three fluffy chicks, in fact. Three more just hatched and drying out under mum, three to go.

I'm going to have a lot of visitors over the next few days. The house and garden are a mess but I don't care. I'm a proud chooky granny :))
