Mothers Day

My first since Mum died last year - she has been in the thoughts of my sisters and I such a lot recently. Everywhere we turn there are things which remind us of her. Mum loved the spring and the feeling of the sun returning. She adored her garden and was out in it at every opportunity. And she would have so loved watching Imogen grow and the news of the next family baby due in Seattle in September. 
We chose to go to Kailzie Gardens near Peebles to celebrate the day - also a much loved place for Mum. We had some great visits there with her.
So Mother's Day this year was Hannah, Rory, Imogen and ourselves - we picnicked on the river bank in Peebles then went to the gardens . It was lovely :) Hannah took this lovely shot while we were having a coffee after our walk. It felt a lovely and very appropriate way to celebrate and remember Mum at the same time :)
