Gently down the stream

Flying bees

I'm guessing these are honey bees, though quite happy to be proved wrong.  They are feeding on grape hyacinths that grow wild in my garden and seem to multiply each year.  I'm unable to tell you whether the grape hyacinths are Muscari atanticum or Muscari botryodes, having eaten too much of the wonderful lunch K cooked for us to be clever (and sadly, as you will probably infer, drunk too much prosecco as well).

For the rest, from J I have some beautiful flowers and a card that reads If you think this card is sh** you should see the care home I found for you (that's m'boy), and from K a much more polite card and some chocolates that won't be delivered until after 6pm..

The reason for these images is that as lunch was preparing I was sent into the garden to keep out of the way by blipping flying bees.

And that's been my day.

Seriously, I hope all mother's have had a lovely one and that everyone else has had a fabulous sunny Sunday  xx
