Happy Mothers Day

It’s one of my favourite days of the year…no, not Mother’s Day, even though that’s important!

It’s officially BRITISH SUMMER TIME!! *does a little dance*

I absolutely love it when the clocks go forward and the evenings are warm and sunny. I love hot weather and definitely feel like I’m just a complicated plant that needs the sunshine to photosynthesise, haha! (Also, everyone is happier in the UK in spring and summer).

I’ve had a fab day, church this morning was amazing, the sun was shining down onto us as we prayed and sang….then the rest of the day with my girls.

Wagamama’s for an easy lunch. I was due to have Mr & Mrs HCB over for afternoon tea, but she is not feeling very well at the moment, bless her (You might spot them in the card I got from my daughter)

My eldest daughter came from Bristol and made cheesecake cupcakes for me. She also paid for lunch!

You know you’re getting older when you have grown children offering. I usually refuse to let her, but this once I accepted as I know she would feel pleased with herself that she was able to pay since finishing her law degree last year.

Isn’t the weather beautiful today? I hope you all got some sun too wherever you are!
