Outside the window

Another chess day. E had a very fast draw, because his opponent and he both knew exactly what to do in the game they had. Now analyzing and chatting while waiting for the teammates. And that’s when the fun for me started. A group of young children was finished with their chess lesson and walked by the table with E and his opponent and stopped right there. They watched for a while and then out of the blue one of the children asked E ‘how do you make your move on the chessboard?’ A fair question, because E can’t reach the board and his opponent makes the moves E says. And then they talked about riding a wheelchair and all kind of handicap related things. I enjoyed listening on the background a lot, and with me several other people. And it ended with chess questions, because your brains are not on your arms or legs, as one of the children said :-D
And E? I'm a proud the way he takes time to answer those honost questions. It is a very nice afternoon...
