More on the ferry

On the way home I was determined to look for the dock at the other end of the pre-SHB vehicle ferry. I blipped the Blues Point end a few days ago. The southern end on Dawes Point unfortunately seems to have been obliterated by subsequent development but I need to do more work on it!
Today’s blip is the southern dock of the Kirribilli ferry which operated from 1860 and was superseded by the much bigger and classier Blues Point ferry in about 1900. Todays extra is from the original location of the dock looking back towards Blues Point, one of the prime pieces of public land in Australia (or it should be) but in 1962 was the victim of an architectural and town planning disaster with the construction of the notorious Blues Point Tower.
