Play offs

Up early this morning to get into Leeds for Charlotte’s netball play off match at 9. It was at the Leeds Beckett Headingley campus, pretty impressive venue.

They were aiming to get promotion, in their first season as seniors.

The team they were up against were a much older group, more experienced and physically stronger, but it was a close fought match. Wildcats were ahead going into the last quarter but a couple of stray passes brought not back level, and they missed a chance with seconds to go to win it. Extra time was just two minutes each end, and the other time just nicked the win.

They were gutted, especially the captain who went off injured in the first quarter, but they should be extremely proud of their achievements this season.

Charlotte got very emotional as it was her last Wildcats game, she will be st uni next season.

Three positives
1) in spite of the loss we had a great morning cheering the girls on
2) did a bit of birthday shopping this afternoon so a bit more organised
3) made a curry for tea
