Full Steam Ahead

In howling wind, and squally rain interspersed with sunshine and rainbows, we nipped down to Longniddry to watch LMS Stainer Class 5 ('Black 5') no 45212 pass when returning to York from a trip to Edinburgh.

Earlier attempts to photograph the partial eclipse were thwarted by extensive cloud cover so thick that it was difficult to locate the sun; once spotted there was no clear view of any alteration in the rim.
