Or ... possibly not?

We went out on the bikes this afternoon to deliver the parish magazine (We know how to live!) and carried on to Lighthorne where the cricket pavilion cafe is just right for a short cycle ride destination.

The Lighthorne Road is supposedly closed - although the space is wide enough for a couple of cycles.  Someone in a large BMW looked quite grumpy at the thought of 'Road Closed' actually meaning that ....

Sadly - it's not silly Saturday weekend :-)

The plastic barriers are around the newly built wall where the road passes over a culvert for a small stream.  The road descends steeply toward it and then takes a bend over the top.  Drivers approaching from either direction don't get a good view of anyone coming the other way until they are quite close to each other.

At the first frost of next winter someone will no doubt damage the new wall ..... and the cycle will repeat again, and again, and again, and again ...
