Not the usual sort of bird!

What a beautiful day! Sunshine & mainly blue skies! It even feels like Spring has sprung! Yay!

The weather was much too lovely to stay indoors so we made the most of it & headed out for a lovely wander.

We saw several Buzzard wheeling round & circling on the thermals ..... lots of the small birds too

However the 'bird' that is my blip is of a rather different ilk!

We heard this Chinook before we saw it ..... it headed straight for us low & quite slow so I managed to get this :-)

Shame the clouds had gathered a bit by then .... it would have been lovely to get it against a blue sky but you can't have everything!

We think it was on a practice flight as it circled around several times before it flew off.
