Nevertheless

These violets decided to bloom nevertheless in our neighbour's shingly flowerbeds.
I guess they will not survive next year. Our neighbours are just divorced and the woman will return soon to the house and will kick out her ex and her son to live there again on her own. He is relaxed with gardening, she not so much.
Then everything will have to be clean again, no leaves, or even worse flowers may pass the fence. The violets will be removed, because she thinks pure gravel gardens are beautiful.  You will notice, I'm not looking forward to have her as a neighbour again, sigh.
But now I love the resistance of the violets :-D
